Birchbox June 2019

This is the life…

Hello. Here is my month review on Birchbox, I’m writing this with a little bit of a heavy heart. Usually I’m really looking forward to review this and I’m all excited. I looked online this month to see what I would be getting in my box, I usually don’t do this but I thought I would. Birchbox where late on there dispatch this month by a week and I was getting a little impatient waiting and I wanted to know.

I’m not very excited over this month box, everyone seemed to have got good boxes mine on the other hand wasn’t so here I will explain why… If your not a member of Birchbox then you wont know this (I don’t think anyway) you have a little beauty profile where you fill out surveys about yourself, hair colour, skin colour, personal style etc… I filled all that out but still didn’t get the right items.

In this box I got…

  • Laritzy Lip Stick In Plum
  • Benefit Gimme Brow
  • Paul & Joe Primer
  • After Spa Face Scrubber
  • Klorane Shampoo

The design off the box is great I like it, its designed by paperchase and you get some money off codes.

Laritzy Lip Stix

You got to choose the colour you wanted to this month. There was either Plum Or Gala. I thought I chose gala and I got plum but I might be wrong, I could have clicked plum thinking I was picking gala. Seems like a nice colour though the Plum I tired it on my hand and suits my skin so I’m not to disappointed with it. I have some nice eyeshadow that I think it might go well with. Laritzy products are all cruelty free, vegan friendly and are free of parabens, BHT, BHA and phthalates. Retails at around £20

Benefit Gimme Brow

This is what disappointed me the most. If know body knows I have jet black natural eyebrows. I stated this in the beauty profile when it asked for hair colour. They sent me natural light brown so I wont be able to use. I was really looking forward to trying this. Using this brush gives you natural fuller looking eyebrows. It’s also the NO.1 selling prestige eye brow product in the UK . Retails at around £21

Paul & Joe Primer

Moisturising foundation primer. Its a 10ml sample, smells like sun cream. Has a light weight feel to it and isn’t grease which is good so wont make you shine in all the wrong places. I don’t think you will need to use loads, I just tired it on my hand to see what it was like. Its also not white its a light foundation colour. Has left my skin feeling smooth though so I like that. retails at around £24 for a full size bottle.

Afterspa Facial Scrubber

Never tired one of these before, I will though I have heard they are quite good but don’t last all that long but we will see. Says on the back of the packet that you should replace every 60 days.  They get more dead cells and dirty off then washing your face with your hands. All you need to do is just to wet and use with your normal cleanser, rinse out after use and hang to dry. These are not tested on animals, are 10cmx8cm good size. This retails at around £6

Anti pollution shampoo with aquatic mint. I hate mint and the smell makes me feel sick so I wont be using this as I cant stand the smell. Its not a very big sample and if I was to use it I have long hair and a little thick too so I like to wash my hair twice it wouldn’t last me very long anyway. It removes build up of pollution in your hair also cools and comforts your scalp, leaving your hair shiny, healthy and balanced. This retails at around £8 full size.

*please note I out “around” for the prices as the price may vary in different shops*

That’s all for this review this month if you fancy yourself a box then you can try one out for only £5 here. Please do remember not everyone gets the same box there are other items you can get.

Much Love Lizxx
